Job Functions : (Primary essential duties and responsibilities)

Daily & International Operations

  • Responsible for day to day coordination, execution, and tracking of sea import and export shipments handled shipped from our DC and manufacturing plants.
  • Complete related documentation (including bills, pick-up orders, and manifest) between customers, vendors, forwarders, brokers and government agencies
  • Adhere to all industry, federal, country, state and local regulations and laws.
  • Prioritize, schedule and arrange pickups for freight shipments
  • Arrange booking with carriers for export shipments
  • Provide Warehouse with loading docs
  • Provide export outbound orders for entities to maintain KPIs & customer expectations
  • Ensures that highest level of data quality and integrity by processing shipment accurately
  • Manage import shipments coming from overseas including tracking and maintain daily status reports, documenting, and clearance by all U.S. government agencies.
  • Review Import/Export documents from international & domestic suppliers for accuracy and conformance with company standards
  • Turnover Import/Export documents to Custom Brokers for clearance purposes
  • Work with brokers and carriers as needed to satisfy any Customs, FDA & OGA holds
  • Tracking and tracing shipments
  • Verify ISF is filed per 10+2 requirements and prior to vessel departure
  • Provide follow up on all parcel exceptions and clearance delays until freight is delivered
  • Provides ongoing support for internal operations with overseas factories & SSU
  • Address, escalate and resolve problems in a prompt manner.
  • Communicates with customer service group for any requirements or exceptions found in freight documents or physical cargo receipt
  • Audit Shipments & Billing

  • Follow ACE audit procedures and ensure all import auditing inquiries are handled in a timely manner (prior to duty payment)
  • Notify brokers of any required Post Summary Corrections or Post Entry Amendments and monitor for completion
  • Calculate duties and taxes to ensure the correct fees are paid to US Customs
  • Review invoices for accuracy of brokerage fees and code to appropriate BU
  • Prepare and maintain all customs documentation in conformance with U.S. Customs record retention requirements
  • Minimum Job Requirements, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management or related field is required
  • CES, CCS, or Certified Import Specialist strongly preferred but not required
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years working knowledge of the sea and air freight exports and imports, US Customs, consols, NVOCC, tariffs air carrier terminology and TSA regulations
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with FDA regulations and importation of Medical Devices
  • Knowledagble of USHTS, Schedule B and ECCN classifications
  • SAP system experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Knowledgable of DG & Hazmat shipment processing
