POSITION OVERVIEW:

Under the direction of the Materials Manager, the Inventory Analyst works cross functionally to manage the warehouse capacity levels of the Brand Aromatics in Lakewood, NJ through SAGE and inventory analysis providing reports and eliminating inefficiencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively promote safety and identify unsafe actions and conditions using a principle-based safety approach.
  • Work closely with Quality, Operations, and Materials Management in the Lakewood plant to support customer service.
  • Utilize SAGE, (Excel & Word) to complete a variety of reports related to material usage, scrap/yield, disposal, shrink, cycle counts, aged inventory / plant inventory, at-risk materials, etc
  • Oversee the Cycle Count Program
  • Lead the year end Physical Inventory
  • Monitor and lead the IAR process in the Lakewood, NJ facility.
  • Research and provide recommendations for initiatives affecting capacity including space allocation and storage needs.
  • Work with McCormick Supply Chain to implement best practices, work through system issues, and maintain data integrity.
  • Provide technical support and training as a resource for relevant system applications
  • Work with teams and actively participate in CI to identify process improvement opportunities
  • Act as an informal leader, pulling together resources to solve problems and reduce inefficiencies
  • Provide clerical assistance as needed
  • Perform other duties as required
  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Acceptable attendance required. (Written warning or probation will be an automatic disqualifier. Attendance may be reviewed after interviewing for position).
  • Meets standards in overall performance rating in most recent performance review.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in the Materials Management and/or Distribution fields required.
  • Demonstrated experience with a Warehouse Management System and/or Materials Management system required.
  • Demonstrated strong experience with MS Word and Excel required. Strong knowledge of computers (excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint) or other ERP system required.
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals, required.
  • Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists, required.
  • Experience following detailed procedures and completing accurate paperwork required.
  • Experience adhering to and following company, plant, regulatory, and customer standards required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate written and orally with all levels of the organization, as well as internal and external customers, required.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, clients, vendors, and other employees, required.
  • Ability to plan and organize daily tasks and adjust throughout the day to priorities/emergencies and to meet deadlines required.
  • Ability to work overtime on short notice with flexibility in start times and work days, required.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fork-lift License preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Information Technology, Accounting or related field
  • Inventory experience
